The three IPTE feeder systems for odd-form assembly are based on a long-standing expertise in this area, to meet the requirements for components that are delivered via sticks and in reels containing radial or axial parts. These feeders cover the majority of the available odd-form or exotic components. Very short operation cycles of 0.75 sec assure that bottleneck situations in feeding will not occur. The design delivers not only high reliability, but also important mechanical availability of more than 99 %. The straightforward operation, activated by four buttons only, is realized through microcontroller-based control. Alerts on the state of operation are shown on a display text note, different options are available such as reel-endings recognition hand splicing tools for reels containing axial and radial passive components. Besides these feeders, IPTE additionally supplies tray loaders or handling of loose component batches, in order to match virtually any requirement, providing highly customized solutions. Users can combine these feeder systems with already existing placement machines, achieving even higher throughput. The feeders feature interfaces such as RS-242, RS-485 and those for I/O signals, and can be adopted according to different demands.
