The Tecnomatix FactoryLink version 7.2 (developed by USDATA before its acquisition) accelerates the setup of applications for human-machine interfaces, supervisory control and data acquisition systems by providing rich application templates. Custom templates, in connection with a setup wizard, allow developers to quickly design custom solutions. FactoryLink is now easier configurable for client-side trending, alarms and Active X controls for the database browser. Another advance in the release makes FDA 21CFR Part 1 validation easier. Arrays of branching tags in the earlier version are supported. There are various OPC server optimizations available to improve service quality in harsh industrial environments with unreliable networking.
