The SlimKIC 2000, a thermal process development and control software, now features more functions – free of charge for users. The temperature versus time task allows profiling of a larger variety of processes. By allowing customers to make a simple temperature-time profile, they will have the ability to run those procedures and set up experiments for practically any procedure. This includes batch processes for cure, environmental temperature cycling, rework, high-temperature steps, and more. An additional key capability is the measurement of temperatures from –150 to 1,050ºC. The benefit is that the tool can be used over a much broader range of applications and, therefore, will not require other temperature measurement devices beyond typical reflow, wave and cure processes. Users define their process windows, and the rest will be calculated, saving significant time and costs.
