The Komax Alpha 355 fully automated crimping machine features increased performance and optimized ergonomics. Motors, drives and other components of no direct relevance to operators have disappeared from the intuiitive, graphical control screen, leaving room for optimized machine use. Operators switching to the system require only minimal additional training. Controls placed at various decentralized positions allow the operator to trigger functions during set-up. Users can readily access all parts of the machine safely. With a choice of two different types of press mechanism, users can adapt the machine to their specific needs. Changeover times have also been greatly reduced with the machine design. The rotating wire changer and the system software allow to prepare much of the next job while the current one is being undertaken. The users can monitor all quality processes in the Alpha 355. The machine automatically filters out poorly processed wires and subsequently produces the appropriate number of wires to replace them. Quality assurance processes are automated wherever possible. The automatic guide-tube changer not only accelerates conversions, it helps to improve quality. Appropriate guide tubes are loaded automatically now in a minimum amount of time without the staff having to worry about changing them.
