Komax launches fully automatic crimping machines to serve the market for wiring applications with ever smaller cross sections. Maximum precision and process reliability are in the center of attention as well as short changeover times and integration of the machines in networked production environments. The model Gamma 255 reaches down to a cross section of AWG 36. The system crimps, twists, fluxes and tins both ends. Quality monitoring modules and pre-feeder are built in as is the TopWin control system. Additional modules can be integrated taking care of pre- and post-crimping operations: there are units for detecting defective insulation, a de-reeler for wire feeding at high speeds, and modules for winding up long wires and binding them. The MCI 762 and 792 modules perform seal processing and sleeve insulating offering easy operation and quick changeover. The Zeta 633 SP does head-to-head and butt splices without conversion.
