Computer Tomography (CT) is a non-destructive x-ray inspection technique that produces high resolution 3D datasets which can be viewed at any angle, sliced in any direction and measured to enable detailed analysis of the internal structure of a wide range of components and objects. CT has been introduced to X-Tek’s established Revolution X-ray system and is available with many other X-Tek systems. The Revolution will be exhibited at Productronica with a new Megapixel high dynamic range digital x-ray detector for inspecting a variety of difficult to image features including underfill and micro-void inspection in BGA components. Also on display will be the Plated Through Hole (PTH) software package for InspectX. The PTH package provides manual and automated pass/fail inspection of solder levels inside multi pin connectors and is now supplied with all of company’s electronics inspection systems.
