As the top-of-the-range model of the LPKF board-plotter family, the ProtoMat H100 sets the standards for PCB prototyping and small series production. The positioning speed is 100mm/s, twice as fast as previous systems. The milling motor runs with 100,000rpm, and the plotter can create 3-mil tracks with 4-mil spacing, accommodating all advanced packages such as BGAs and µBGAs. The H100 also maintains a higher average speed by integrating smart-path generation. The combination of these features increases the performance factor by 2 to 3-times. The resolution is also increased five-fold to 1mm, producing 100µm lines with 100µm spaces and a minimum drill-hole diameter of 150µm. Now, prototype production of 6 and 8-layer boards can be accomplished in-house. Other features include: automated milling depth adjustment, integrated vacuum table, automated fiducial recognition with integrated camera, non-contact air bearing depth adjustment, and automated tool changer with lifespan control.
