The AOI system OptiCon AdvancedLine of Göpel is designed for high fault coverage as well as flexible and effective application. The centrepiece of the platform is a modularly extendable camera concept, allowing alternatively selecting between one- or four megapixel modules. For even higher test coverage, users can add additional camera options for THT parts, color inspection or 3D measurement as well as angled view inspection for the inspection of J-Lead pins at PLCC and SOJ components. The platform offers advanced test speed, reduced debug times, minimal false call rate and high fault coverage. The four mega-pixel system with a specific telecentric lens provides an inspection field of 40 X 40mm at 21µm resolution. User can also benefit from a LED illumination with three basic colors which are controllable separately leading to a high-contrast display, e.g. for polarity marking. The illumination, where 16 settings can be configured, enables the optimal display of shorts, laser labeling and polarity markings. Thereby, interfering effects of solder masks and fluxes are eliminated. These innovations mean that the AOI platform can be an effective tool in the production process.
