For its lasers-based scanning systems, mainly applied in selective soldering and plastic welding, Fisba has developed add-ons and options. The color-corrected FT-262-P F theta objective can be used in a wide range of wavelengths, from the visible spectrum to the laser wavelengths of 790 to 1064 nm, and for pyrometers at 2000 nm. Additionally, the functions of a high-power laser diode and Nd-YAG lasers used in materials processing are now combined in one system. This makes it possible to monitor processes under temperature control by pyrometer as well as visually. Another development is a galvo-scanner with high positioning speed to optimize processing times. The use of scanners for beam positioning allows for accurate positioning over the entire working area within just a few milliseconds. The pyrometer, which is used to measure and control the processing temperature, is equipped with microcomputer intelligence. It flexibly selects the processing phase, depending on the time needed, and provides feedback of the signals to the scanner. An intelligent process management feature helps to handle back directly the information obtained by the pyrometer to the scanner. This cuts waiting time remarkably.
