The Ambersil Silicones (ACC) series of acetone cure adhesives (product numbers 1080 through 1088) are available in various formulations (flowable, semi-flow, paste, TCR or HT, etc.), in different colors (white, white/grey, black and red), high operating temperatures (220, 250 and 300 °C) as well as IRHD hardness values between 30 and 50. Their tensile strength covers 2.0 to 3.4 MPa. They can be used as fast curing sealants replacing slow alkoxy materials, thereby increasing process productivity through faster cure cycles. They skin in 5 to 8 minutes and cure to 3 mm in less than 24 hours, and, reportedly, provide excellent adhesion to metals and plastics. These materials are thermally conductive (1.7 to 2.5 W/mK) for use on especially temperature-sensitive PCBs. They show low exposure limits during use, contain no pungent acetic acid or ketoxime and are non-VOC. The materials do not corrode any sensitive materials (including copper).
