Based on the success of last year’s Cemex (Contract Electronics Manufacturers Conference and Exhibition) events in Eastern Europe, the organizers have been approached by visitors and exhibitors to conduct further events. The Cemex schedule of events for 2004 will begin with two one-day events in Poland at the Holiday Inn in Warsaw on May 11, and at the Holiday Inn in Gdansk on May 13, shortly after this country and others have then become members of the EC. To further develop the cooperation established with EMS companies in the Czech Republic and Hungary, a series of one-day events will be held later in the year at the Holiday Inn, Prague, Czech Republic on October 12, and on October 14 at the Hotel Raba in Györ, Hungary. Running in parallel with these events will always be a series of workshops that are open to all engineers interested in the highly topical lead-free technology. A number of table-top positions are available for companies seeking to explore opportunities in these European areas. Only 30 exhibition places will be available at each event with low-cost participation, even including round-trip travel for exhibitors from Warsaw to Gdansk, and similarly from Prague to Györ and back. Aimed at senior management throughout the region, Cemex will be a highly focused invitation-only event, and the seminars and exhibition will be free for delegates. Simultaneous translations, coffee breaks, buffet lunch and an informal reception will also be provided.
