For its latest model of the CP-7 series of turret-based ship shooters, Fuji claims the label „world’s fastest“ – with a tact time of 0.068s/chip, thus yielding 52,941 placements per hour. Despite this performance, the CP-7 stays under 39sq-feet (3.6 m²) of footprint. With this layout and performance, the chip shooter is reportedly well suited for high-speed, high-mix production environments at extremely large volume figures. The machine places 0201-packages as well as chips up to 19mm² square area. It features 16 placement heads that can be fitted with six different nozzles to increase speed. The board load time is given as an extremely fast 1.2s – or even higher, at 0.6s, when the dual-board load function is used. Apparently, all this makes this chipshooter suitable for high-mix environments.
