Viscom: Focus on 2D and 3D AOI, SPI and AXI
Viscom (Hanover, Germany), one of the world’s three largest manufacturers of AOI, SPI and automated X-ray inspection (AXI) systems, will increase its worldwide activities in all three of these areas over the next several years. According to their roadmap Viscom’s mission is to provide its customers with highperformance, highquality, costeffective solutions. In order to achieve that goal, the company has long distinguished itself by designing and developing advanced-technology inspection systems that closely fit customer needs. 3-D X-ray systems are first priority.

These are based on the company’s proprietary Microfocus X-ray tubes, which feature a very wide power range. SPI systems have been factory-floor-proven for many years. Before the end of Q2 2009, Viscom will introduce a new high-volume, advanced-technology, 3-D SPI system. The system will provide exceptional 3-D inspection and line-integration capabilities.Viscom AOI systems, from desktop to inline solutions, have a worldwide reputation for ease of use and quality of inspection. Soon to be added is new Viscom 3-D AOI technology.
“Viscom is strongly positioned to provide our customers with the most advanced technology and the highest level of service for many years to come,” says Viscom cofounder and board member Volker Pape.
