The Redline of Lloyd Doyle is an addition to its range of optical test systems for PCBs. The enhancement builds on the existing platforms, to enable optimal fault detection. The reflective-light based system gives high flexibility, allowing to optically test a wide variety of PCB, substrate and surface combinations. The illumination system is suited to copper-clad laminates such as reverse treated foils and chemically double-treated materials. The imaging capabilities of the tester can cope with these surfaces despite their inherently low contrast; it is able to perform on a wide range of low-contrast materials including photoresist-on-copper. The target is the prototype manufacturer who needs great flexibility from one machine with low investment level. This enhancement will be available as stand-alone or can be retrofitted.
