Automotive supplier Continental trusts the Accela’s concept at numerous European manufacturing sites. Feedback from their manufacturing personnel affirms the company’s decision to purchase this printer. High alignment accuracy and increasing throughput with parallel processing provide economic benefits, and ease-of-use of the system led to fast and encompassing acceptance by technical personnel.

During their operational life, connectors are subjected to many harmful conditions, presenting designers with a number of contradictory requirements. Gerald Kingsbury explores the use of electrochemicals to clean and protect connectors and highlights the benefits to the connector designer of these very useful tools to achieve improvements.
The recently introduced large Aluminium ribbon bonding process overcomes the package size restrictions and allows the application of the strengths and benefits of the large Al wire bonding process in smaller power packages.
Bonding with heavy Aluminium ribbon is now on the threshold of large-scale useage. This paper reviews the attractive aspects of this new technology and outlines the critical areas that still need to be clarified.
Open pins on digital components can be detected today through easy and vectorless techniques that offer considerable advantages if compared with those based on test patterns used by testers with digital instrumentation.
