IPTE’s universal adapter for automated functional board tests consists of a frame into which specific modules are integrated depending on the unit under test (DUT). This approach reduces the effort and time required to configure the test set-up, and cuts down maintenance requirements. The fixture automatically places the DUT into a holder. Routines can be realized for a number of functional tests such as infrared and radio transmission, plug and sockets as well as for the checks of displays and their background illumination. The fixture can be used in both automatic and manual test sequences. It is suitable for almost all units whose function must be tested at the end of the line.
