The Feinfocus TXI (true X-ray intensity control) is claimed to be the ”industry’s first definitive solution” to inconsistent X-ray intensity and image quality. On their way from the emitting source to the target within a tube, the electrons typically tend to go astray and reach the target at varying frequencies and quantities. This results in varied levels of X-ray intensity, along with a consequential and unpredictable loss of image quality. Conventional techniques address this problem by measuring and controlling the input level of voltage and tube current. The TXI technology bypasses the conventional approach and ensures a constant, controlled output level of X-ray intensity which results in a consistent and sharp image. Because TXI provides a constant level of X-ray intensity, it is well-suited for production environments, CT scanning, and other applications where a large number of images are taken. It is currently available for all the company’s transmissional X-ray tubes and inspection systems.
