The IPTE MFT family of board test handlers provides for cost reductions, saves floor space and minimizes the length of test runs without any trade-offs to test performance. The bridge-type construction can simply be placed over the tester, whereas no mechanical changes to the existing equipment are necessary. The docking concept allows the adaptation and preparation within two minutes. Because of its modular and multifunctional concept, such a test handler is able to meet all line requirements, regardless whether used in single or dual-line track configurations, with on or two board lifts and single or multiple transport modules. With the second transport track, also bypass solutions are able to be realized, or test lines working in parallel can be replaced, leading to lower requirements on floor space. Through the integration of test hand-lers in the line, users can achieve a higher speed of handling and conveying by a factor of up to four, also a higher production throughput in the same range – compared to conventional solutions. MFT handlers are currently a-vailable for the following test equipment: Agilent test platform series II and Series 3, GenRad 228X as well as Teradyne Series 1800/8000, and a universal 19-in version can be supplied.
