Rohde & Schwarz‘ open test platform CompactTSVP is particularly suited for test applications in automobile electronics production. All test and switching modules are designed for flexible use in function tests of control units, power management modules and others. As an industrial CompactPCI/PXI ATE platform, it also features in-circuit test of components. An additional analog bus backplane was integrated to expand the equipment for industrial use, to be used for flexible signal switching in the chassis between modules without requiring additional cables.The user can choose between different modules: digital multimeter with selectable high digitization rate, in-circuit test, arbitrary waveform generator, fast data-acquisition card and digital function tests. The functional test and generator modules are especially useful, because of the floating connection possibilities. Switching of test signals is feasible by means of switch matrix modules with 90 input channels. A high-current switch module is available for switching high currents. These relay modules are controlled by CAN bus, which significantly reduces costs for signal switching. In addition to the proprietary modules, any standard CompactPCI and PXI card with three height units can be placed in the frame.
