SPEA’s Compass software for process optimization and quality data management in electronics manufacturing has been enhanced by the modules Schematics (wiring diagram viewer) and Online-View. Online-View facilitates the real-time monitoring and allows an almost self-regulating flow, since it ensures closed-loop control with feedback to all relevant manufacturing stages. Providing evaluation of the quality data along a line, process deviations are recognized immediately, and necessary corrections can be carried out right away. The system continuously retrieves data from all test stages (independent of manufacturer or kind of verification), also from repair stations, and eventually analyzes them. The results are provided in the form of table, diagram or graph, and they will be updated automatically and continually. Display can be adjusted so that only the data relevant for a particular step are shown. A user can put together his personalized view, and the evaluation level can also be selected, referred to the total production, to board assembly, a certain tester or a batch.
