The Feinfocus graphical user interface (FGUI) version 2.2 for X-ray inspection systems has been upgraded to include several new capabilities, most notably an AVI recorder that enables users to save video sequences of processed images for training, demonstration or reporting. The user-friendly FGUI features single-button AVI recording which begins immediately after the file is named. Start and stop functions can also be remotely controlled. Other advanced features include 16-bit image-processing capabilities, seamless integration of direct digital detectors (DDD), and image saving in a variety of formats, namely TIF, BMP, and JPG. Many useful image processing operations have also been added, such as an electronic film operator for advanced real-time X-ray inspection. It is available with Windows XP on the Tiger and Fox series systems, and can be upgraded on existing systems.
