As an answer to the trend towards se-miconductor backend automation, Delta Design (in Europe represented by Macrotron Systems), has introduced the modular pick& place IC test handler Castle EC (extended capability). The system is based on Delta’s field proven Castle platform which features the innovative vertical tray concept for minimum floor space requirement. With the interface capability to optional input or output modules, such as extended storage, laser marking, mark/ lead inspection, tape& reel, etc., the handler is now suited for integrated test cell solutions. Available in different configurations for up to 9 logicor analog devices and forup to 32-site memory test, the system supports a wide temperature range from -60 to +160°C, and provides an increased throughput of up to 7.200pph in dual-site configuration.
