One of the most reliable automated dispensing production machines for micro dosing applications, the Vico 520 D, is able to control and read-adjust the dosing amount real time automatically. It is ideal for the casting of pretentious multichip and sensor applications. To ensure a stable micro dosing, the process parameters will be adjusted optimal to each other. In addition, these parameters are controlled and tuned continuously during the process. The integrated inspection sensor system in the dosing head controls actual medium level and dosing output as specified and read-adjusts automatically in real time.
A good application example of the machine is the casting of an air pressure sensor (dimensions: 2 x 2 x2.1 mm): To protect the sensor against outdoor influence like humidity and water, an exact cast volume of 1.3 µl is required. It has to be provided at each cycle of 2.7 seconds per component. During application it is fundamental not to touch the sensor although the dispensing needle works with a distance to the sensor´s surface of 0.15 µm. The system is developed and manufactures by machine builder Häcker Automation, Germany, and was presented at Apex by Häckers US sales representative Ricmar (Hyannis Court, California). Häcker has as well multi chip and 3D micro assembly systems, which come custom made to achieve applications in automotive, medical and other.
