Juki offers a high-speed placement machine specialized in odd-form components for fine-pitch format at elevated accuracy. The KE-2040 comes with two high-precision placement heads for a variety of greatly accurate vacuum nozzles. The KE-2040 is modularized and quickly integrated into existing lines for high-mix placement of both regular and odd-shaped components. Changeover is done in merely 30s. Key to this functionality is a sophisticated vision-based centering system featuring dual heads and cameras, and the proprietary FlexLighting system with multicolor, multi-angular LEDs (green for backlighting QFPs, red for bottom lighting of leaded parts and blue for side-lighting BGA balls). With a handler, the machine processes two components (0402 up to 50mm²) simultaneously at 0.56s per part, yielding 6,400 chips as well as 2,500 fine-pitch components per hour.
