European Advanced Technology Tour for profitability

In times of tighter budgets and narrower margins, how can we increase process efficiency, cut costs and widen narrow profit margins. Vitronics Soltec announces its 2nd European Advanced PCB Assembly Technology Tour, based on the topic of building an efficient process. It will illustrate experiences, evaluations, reliability, process impacts and equipment capabilities that various types of soldering techniques have with the ability to keep a cost-effective practice in control with optimum yield. The tour is part of the company’s continually expanding customer support, even during industry downturns. It consists of a series of instructional seminars on high-interest topics in soldering (wave, reflow, selective and lead-free), and it provides information on how to optimize processes to cut waste, lower costs and maintenance and employ „survival skills“ by making work more efficient. Each day-long session will cover such topics as planning; selection of material and equipment, process development, thermal profiling and much more, followed by an overview of market trends and a field experience report presented by a local manufacturer in each area. The tour begins middle of October in France, and in the course of the following weeks wanders across the whole of Europe, to end in December in Spain and Portugal. Information on time schedule, places and bookings for this free-of-charge event can be obtained via the web site.
