Ekra and the Circuit Material Division (CMD) of Heraeus have signed an agreement of partnership, to co-operate in the area of surface mount technology (SMT), taking effect immediately. Both Germany-based companies are leading suppliers, Ekra for stencil and screen-printing systems and CMD in the field of SMT process consumables such as solder pastes. Ekra has confirmed the SMT materials of Heraeus as preferred choice. Within this partnership, Heraeus will use the stencil-printer families of Ekra in their technology and demonstration centers in Hanau/Germany, Conshohocken, Pennsylvania/USA and in Shanghai, Peoples Republic of China. The aim is to optimize existing products, and to create solutions in joint development. For newly designed equipment concepts, Ekra will take these materials into account right from the project beginning, and will this way optimize the mutual effects of this partnership.
