Sanyo has developed the direct-drive mounter TCM-X100J, which is an advanced-technology machine with a length of 2,4m. It offers placement of components from 0201s to BGAs/CSPs with a maximum size of 26mm² and a tact time of 0,075s (48.000cph). The feeder axis speed is about 3-times faster than is possible by the ball screw system, and this results in an improved throughput. Both vibration and noise are kept to a minimal level. For reduction of maintenance cost (under 60h/year), the mounter is equipped with an automatic oil cooling system. The drive head is configured into an integrated unit with the motor.
