Vitronics Soltec’s Technology Group is comprised of more than a dozen process specialists employed globally throughout its facilities, also working in close co-operation with recognized institutions. Their goal is to study and define processes and publish findings on technology topics such as Pb-free processing. The group has an advanced research basis at its disposal, incorporating labs for metallurgical and environmental testing, and for analytical work. Additionally, the group can conduct in-depth investigations in actual production environment with two SMT lines. Denis Barbini and Gerjan Deepstraten are two of the group’s leading experts in soldering technology.
