Universal Instruments’ 4797S HSP is a high-volume, turret-style chipshooter that handles a broader range of components at faster speeds than pre-vious models, and does this in a very small footprint. The maximum placement speed is 48,000 components per hour (cph); the dimensions are 2400 x 1963 x 2155 mm. The component handling range covers 0201s to 26mm-square parts, as well as area-array packages, and boards of up to 250 x 330mm can be processed. Direct-drive heads supply greater throughput and improved positioning accuracy, and the linear motor-driven feeder carriage provides greater precision in component pick-up
