Automated fast-changeover device programming
The PS200 and PS300 auto-mated programming systems from Data I/O are designedto meet the growing demand for high-efficiency. These systems reportedly feature the industry’s fastest changeover times and highest producti-vity. Other advantages are: modular configuration to maximize throughput for any job, and scalability and flexibility for high return on capital utilization. The modular architecture allows these systems to be configured with up to 12 universal programming or 48 Flash sites, and any combi-nation of both to ma-ximize efficiency. The equipment includes a very fast pick&place mechanism (1250dph, 5mil accuracy) for maximum productivity. Each programmer operates independently, with a dedicated PC controller enabling them to program devices as soon as they are placed in the socket. The multi-socket adapter technology (4 TSOP or CSP sockets per adapter) and asynchron-ous programming capabilities maximize throughput. These systems accept all forms of input/output media (tape, tray, tube) and include marking and media transfer functions. Options include CO2 laser etching system or thermal label marking system. A vision positioning system improves device placement and reduces the number of rejects due to pin damage. These systems have the smallest footprint in their class (32 x 46-in) and can be easily relocated on the shop floor.
