ViTechnology and SiemensDematic (Siplace) announced stronger cooperation to provide a higher level of manufacturing excellence to their customers solely in the Americas. Siemens will include ViTechnology AOI systems with the patented vectoral imaging in the supported equipment list of its manufacturing performance monitoring and control software Siplace Explorer for complete lines encompassing placement equipment, printer and oven. The Explorer allows the user to acquire detailed real-time or historical information about the complete SMT production process. Reportedly, support of the VI machines by other Siplace software is not intended at the moment, also not out of the Americas. Interestingly, for its program Global Solutions Provider, Siplace has a partnership on inspection technology with Agilent for about one year.
