Hazardous fumes and dust from wave soldering, laser marking and other processes are dealt with safely by the Purex Powerflow purification and extraction machines from Hi-Tech UK. They offer extended filter life, reverse airflow filtration, temperature and flow control, ease of maintenance and worldwide legislation compliance. Up to 31 systems can be controlled from one PC. Minimum levels of extraction and hazardous gas particulate sensing can be set for each process, and failsafe controls will stop a production line if the extraction flow rate falls below the preset figure. Downtime is reduced because a feature enables to run diagnostic tests on-line and reset controls remotely to remedy a problem. The machines are housed in corrosion-resistant castor-mounted stain- less steel cabinets and designed for installation with reflow, curing, and wave ovens, lasers, selective soldering, screen printers and conformal coating gear. A control feature allows accurate temperature profiles to be maintained in ovens, thereby minimizing the risk of thermal shock.
